My Story

Meeting Volleyball With Empty Hands

I still remember sitting in the bleachers, watching my daughter fall in love with volleyball while quietly admitting I had no idea how girls' volleyball recruiting worked.

I was a lawyer and entrepreneur, not a coach or former athlete. But I had a father's determination. I decided that if there was a system to understand, I would learn it, document it, and turn it into something my family could actually use to navigate recruiting.

Building a Family Gameplan

Early on, I realized that talent alone wouldn't organize emails, research programs, or decode coach communication. My family sat down at the kitchen table and created a plan.

My daughter focused on performance and academics. I handled researching how the recruiting process actually worked. Together we learned how to communicate effectively with coaches. The approach wasn't perfect, but it was intentional. Step by step, that structure carried her from local courts to serious Division I opportunities.

Turning Pain Into Purpose

When my daughter signed her full Division I scholarship and later graduated with both her undergraduate degree and MBA completely debt-free, I felt gratitude and responsibility.

I knew other parents were sitting in those same bleachers, just as confused as I once was. My mission became clear: teach parents how girls' volleyball recruiting really works so other families can help their daughters use volleyball to fund college with clarity and confidence.

Founder of Volleyball Scholarship Consulting & Educational Resources

As a proud father who successfully helped my daughter navigate girls' volleyball recruiting to earn a Division I scholarship, I understand how overwhelming the process can feel. With no background in college sports recruitment, my family had to learn everything from scratch.

From understanding recruiting timelines to communicating effectively with coaches, every step was new territory. Through research and strategic planning, we developed a clear roadmap—and my daughter earned a full scholarship, competed in three NCAA Tournaments, and won three conference championships.

I wrote my book, Volleyball Can Pay for Your College Education, to teach other parents what I learned during this journey. My mission is to help families understand how girls' volleyball recruiting actually works so you can help your daughter use volleyball to fund her education.

Today, I offer educational resources including my book, live webinars, and a quarterly cohort program to help parents learn the recruiting process. Whether you're just starting or already deep into recruiting season, I'm here to teach you what worked for our family.
